I didn't take the usual road into construction. I earned a B.S. in Film Production from the Art Institute of California, a background that trained my eye for how small details add up to the whole, and for just how much the finish matters. That sense of composition and craft is something I've carried onto every jobsite since.

From there, I spent more than a decade learning the building trades from the ground up. Four years in residential plumbing taught me what happens behind the walls. Two years in cabinet making sharpened my precision and my respect for clean, exact work. Four years on a carpentry crew gave me the structural foundation: framing, finish, and everything in between. That crew eventually grew into a business of its own, where I spent three years running residential remodel estimates and installing tile.

Each of those stops taught me a different piece of the same puzzle. Because I've done the plumbing, the cabinetry, the carpentry, and the tile with my own hands, I understand how the trades connect, and where projects go right or wrong. When I walk a job or write an estimate, I'm not guessing. I've been the person doing the work.

That experience is what Four Winds Construction & Tile is built on. We hold a B General Building Contractor license and a C-54 Ceramic and Mosaic Tile license, and we serve homeowners throughout Oakland and the greater East Bay. Whether it's a full remodel or a single tile installation, I bring the same standard to every project: do it right, communicate clearly, and treat both the client and the crew with integrity.
